Formation of negative competition in the cement market

Ali Mohammad bod a member of cement community mentioned that the cost of cement production in new factories is higher than the old ones due to the installation of filters and newer equipments.

Ali Mohammad bod said that at present, there are 70 cement plants in the country that are in need of support.

He pointed to the formation of negative competition the cement market and added that currently the fixed price of cement is higher for the new factories than the older ones. It’s because the older factories don’t need to pay for installment and even with old equipments they use cheap electricity which in this case they also cause air pollution.

Bod added that new plants have newer systems and filters which reduce pollution but this has increased the costs and final price of the cement. Referring to reduction of cement production in this season and with the reduction of construction in winter concerns about the cement market has risen and he has asked the minister of industry to help with the problem and find solutions.
