{"id":131,"date":"2025-12-13T10:12:50","date_gmt":"2025-12-13T06:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asgarzade.sitedar.com\/yascont\/en\/?p=131"},"modified":"2025-12-23T16:54:37","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T13:24:37","slug":"iran-azerbaijan-still-in-talks-on-financing-astara-rasht-railway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yascont.com\/en\/2025\/12\/13\/iran-azerbaijan-still-in-talks-on-financing-astara-rasht-railway\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran, Azerbaijan still in talks on financing Astara-Rasht railway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"item-summary\">\n<p class=\"summary introtext\">\u00a0Azeri Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev said Friday that negotiations on financing the Astara-Rasht railroad project are still underway in a bid to find the best way to propel the plan forward.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item-body\">\n<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p>Addressing a press conference in Baku, Mustafayev pointed to the agreement between Iran and Azerbaijan on financing the railway project, saying, despite the current international political conditions, talks are still underway to remove the hurdles challenging the plan.<\/p>\n<p>The 350-kilometer railway passing through Astara (Azerbaijan), Astara (Iran),\u00a0Rasht and Qazvin is aimed at connecting India\u2019s Mumbai to Finland\u2019s Helsinki.<\/p>\n<p>It is part of the the North-South transport corridor, which is meant to connect Northern Europe with Southeast Asia.
